Inspired by the post-war Swedish movement to build affordable, functional houses for the public, Nya Folkhemmet continues the tradition with modern construction methods and a focus on sustainability. Our focus is family houses with good transport to nearby cities, at an affordable rent.
House building methods are changing rapidly. Such houses can now be built in factories and assembled quickly on site. New forms of heating in combination with energy-efficient materials enable significant electricity savings. All this means reduced rental and living costs for our residents, even though they live in attractive, newly built houses.
